After voluntarily writing the special song ‘The Streets of Ballyphehane’ for our centenary, members of the 1916-2016 committee were only too delighted to attend the launch of John’s Spillane’s book ‘Will we be brilliant or what, Songs and stories’, in which he discusses writing the song for us and how he came up with the idea for the song, as a conversation between father and son about the men the roads are called after.
